So after a few months in the job. It was almost six months that I didn’t meet her. So I made an unplanned surprise to Mumbai. We went to marine drive. We spent a night there and then it was the time for me to leave to Delhi again. She was in tears so was I but this was the life we had chosen and we wanted to continue with it. So when we actually bought some savings for us we could help our family with their living we finally decided to take this matter to our parents. Indian parents typically at first did not agree to this love but eventually they were convinced and the day came when we got married in the most beautiful way possible.
All these months of our job that we waited to meet each other to tell our parents was all because we wanted to make some savings before we could get married. And all these savings were meant to take home for ourselves and in one city and then we could live our happy life there. So after our marriage we decided to shift to Delhi because I couldn’t get a transfer somehow she manages to get a transfer in Delhi and we shifted to Delhi. Initially, we lived in house by rent and then we decided to bring in our savings together and get a house for ourselves. Though a small one a 1BHK but, into a normal building.
We both were engineers but we always wanted to live a normal life. She came from a humble background and so did I. So taking home for us was a big achievement.I asked her that, “Are we planning to take big home?” To which she replied that, “Maybe not. Let’s live the way we have been living our lives. Maybe we will get a good house for ourselves but, after sometime. When we still manage to earn a bit more money.” We took a house in Delhi and started living there which was 1BHK. Life was pretty good no impossible hurdles by now. But then comes a call from Jalandhar that my father has met with an accident. And I had to leave at that very moment. She couldn’t leave the house nor her job so she decided to join me later. When I went to Jalandhar I asked dad, “Should I stay here with you for few days or I ask for leave from my office so that I could help you and mom here at the hospital as the situation is serious.” Dad replied, “No you guys should not bring any obstacle to your lives because of me it was just an accident. You came here in such a short notice you have left Manisha there alone in Delhi so I guess you should leave.” I replied, “I will leave tomorrow dad let me stay with you and mom today. So we went home mom said, “Let’s prepare some ‘Gajar ka halwa’ the way we used to prepare it when I was small.
